That was just a rotten trick that company played on your and your wife. Just take solace knowing that home is still out there, and still home, no matter how far away.

I've never heard of topical chemotherapy. I hope you'll have time to write more about your treatment.

Sorry to hear about all this, brother. I agree with Anne that the company played a rotten trick- they must have no idea what the word home means to an Appalachian.

Hopefully, something else will turn up again in the near future. In the meantime, I'm with you in heart, mind, and spirit.


A friend recently underwent the chemo on the face treatment. His face turned red and I'm sure it hurt, but he never complained and his prognosis is excellent. It's the first time I'd ever heard of topical chemo, but it appears to be quite effective. I'm sure you'll be fine, Tod, but I know it is a worry.

You'll come home again, too. I'll keep the light on for you.
